The encircling wall, which was constructed in 1100, is one of the oldest remaining preserved castle walls. The marble portals and frescoes in the chapel are also part of the castle's ancient splendour. The Museum of Archaeology provides visitors with an overview of the first settlements in the Alpine region, while a fully intact melting furnace dating from the Bronze Age is also on display.
