Hiking in Dorf Tirol near Meran

Sometimes it only takes one step outside - and the world opens up. Countless hiking trails lead from the Hotel Patrizia into nature: to alpine pastures, viewpoints and quiet places that can only be discovered on foot.

When the path leads to tranquillity. And the view to marvel at.

Hike in, hike out

Directly from the Patrizia out into nature. Around Dorf Tirol, numerous hiking trails lead through a landscape framed by the Texel Group Nature Park. Sometimes gentle, sometimes challenging, but always with breathtaking panoramic views over the Merano region. Thanks to the mild climate, the hiking season here starts early in the year and lasts well into autumn.

Flying high with the railway

Just a few steps away from the Patrizia, the Hochmuth cable car takes you from Dorf Tirol to the Hochmuth in five minutes – from 650 to 1,400 metres above sea level. An impressive mountain world awaits you at the top with views over Merano, the Adige Valley and the peaks of the Texel Group. Whether a leisurely stroll or a challenging tour: this is where the hiking fun begins in the middle of nature.

Tappeinerweg & Waalwege

Those who start the day with a walk in Dorf Tirol often follow the water and the vastness. The Tappeinerweg winds its way high above Merano along Mediterranean plants. Always with you: the view over the city and the feeling of lightness. No less charming are the Waalwege: historic paths along old irrigation channels that have filled the countryside with life for centuries. Today, they lead through orchards, vineyards and quiet woodland, accompanied by the gentle lapping of the water.
