General information & location
Where can I park?
As our guest, you can of course park directly at the hotel free of charge – either in the underground car park or in one of the covered outdoor parking spaces. A total of 30 underground parking spaces and several covered outdoor spaces are available. One underground car park space is already reserved for guests staying in the luxury suites.
What does half board include?
For us, half-board means: a breakfast that lovingly opens the day and an evening menu that rounds it off with pleasure.
At lunchtime and in the afternoon, you can also choose from our à la carte menu – from 12:30 to 14:00 in the parlour or on the terrace and from 14:00 to 18:00 with hot dishes and small snacks.
Can I charge my electric car?
Two charging stations are available directly at the hotel. Consumption is charged to your room and billed at the end of your stay. We charge € 0.80 per kilowatt hour.
Is there free WLAN?
Yes, free WLAN is available throughout the hotel – in the rooms, in the restaurant and in all common areas.
Where is smoking allowed?
According to Italian law, smoking is prohibited in public areas. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. Smoking is prohibited on our panoramic terrace during meal times. A covered, stylish smoking lounge is available by the pool.
Where is the Hotel Patrizia located?
The Patrizia is located in Dorf Tirol above Meran – quiet, sunny and with an unobstructed view over the Meran countryside.
A retreat for connoisseurs in a panoramic location, just five minutes by car from the town centre.
How far is it to Merano?
You can reach the centre of Merano in around ten minutes by car or on a walk along the Tappeinerweg trail in around an hour. Merano can also be easily reached by chairlift or bus – the journey takes around 20 minutes.
Is the hotel in a quiet location?
Yes, the Patrizia is located on Lutzweg, a small side street with no through traffic – surrounded by apple orchards and far-reaching views.
Do all rooms have a view of Merano or the mountains?
Almost all of them. Only the Patrizia Suite West and the Mut room do not look out over the valley.
Are there parking facilities or a garage?
Yes, free parking is available in the underground car park or directly in front of the building.
E-charging stations are available. When booking our luxury suites (Luxury for Two, Penthouse, Panorama and Bellavista Suite), a fixed garage parking space is reserved.
When is the hotel open?
From mid-March to mid-November – when the sun is shining and the gardens are in bloom in Merano.

When can I check in?
From 14:00, please check out by 11:00.
Can I arrive earlier or leave later?
With pleasure – please let us know your wishes in advance.
Do you offer a shuttle service?
Yes, we are happy to organise a taxi or transfer service on request.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome in all room categories (€25 per night).
A bowl and dog bed are waiting in the room, towels, treats and dog bags in the garage.
Can I book a specific room or floor?
You book a category – not a fixed number. We will of course be happy to note your wishes.
Are there accessible rooms?
Yes, some of our rooms are barrier-free. Please let us know when you book.
Rooms & facilities
What should I know about the rooms?
All our rooms and suites are non-smoking and have air conditioning. The floor plans are schematic and may vary in detail.
Are there cushions to choose from?
Yes, simply choose your favourite pillow from our pillow menu – we will be happy to bring it to your room.
How does the cleaning and laundry service work?
In the wardrobe you will find a laundry bag and a price list. Our housekeeping will ensure that your laundry is returned freshly washed within 48 hours.
What discounts are available for children?
Children are very welcome here – and stay in their parents’ room at particularly family-friendly conditions (with two full-paying guests):

In the Panorama Suite Deluxe and the Penthouse Suite:

For families, there is a children’s and teenagers’ playroom, cots, table football, high chairs and table tennis – for time together and relaxing moments.

An umbrella is available for you in your room.
Is there a safe in the room?
There is a safe in the wardrobe in every room where you can store your valuables safely.
What can I find in my room?
Everything you need – and nothing that bothers you:
Bathing bag, bathrobe, slippers, hiking rucksack, umbrella, care products, WLAN.
Do the rooms have a balcony or terrace?
Yes, all of them – with a view of the valley or the mountains. The only exception: the youth room Courage.
Is there a coffee machine or a kettle?
Yes in the luxury suites. We are happy to provide you with a machine or kettle in your room on request.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, all rooms have air conditioning.
How big is the hotel?
Manageable – 42 rooms and suites.
Small enough to know you personally. Large enough to offer space for retreat.
Cuisine & indulgence
Can I eat something at lunchtime or in the afternoon?
From 12:30 to 14:00 we serve à la carte in the parlour or on the terrace.
Between 14:00 and 18:00 we serve hot dishes, small snacks and homemade cakes.
When is breakfast served?
From 07:30 to 10:30 a.m. our rich breakfast buffet awaits you – in the restaurant or on the panoramic terrace.
Early risers enjoy a small breakfast by the indoor pool from 07:00, late risers a fine late breakfast at the bar.
When is dinner served?
You can enjoy our evening menu from 19:00 to 20:30 on our panoramic terrace with a view over Merano.
How long is the bar open?
Open daily until midnight – perfect for rounding off the day with a glass of wine or a cocktail.
Is there a dress code?
We appreciate smart evening wear and ask gentlemen to wear long trousers and closed shoes for dinner.
Shorts, mountain or bathing shoes are not permitted at dinner – with the exception of children.
What catering is included in the price?
Our gourmet half-board with breakfast buffet and multi-course evening menu.
Fixed points: Gala dinner on Sundays, dessert buffet on Tuesdays, appetiser buffet on Thursdays.
Can I eat outside?
Yes, in the warmer months we serve breakfast and dinner on our terrace. Thanks to the covered terrace construction, we are independent of the weather. In the cooler months, you can dine in the restaurant in the evening; breakfast outdoors is usually also possible in spring and autumn. At breakfast you choose your own seat, in the evening your table is reserved.
Are there vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free dishes?
Yes, our kitchen team pays attention to your dietary requirements.
Where do the products come from?
We attach great importance to origin and quality – many of our products come directly from South Tyrol.
Why no ¾ pension?
Because pleasure has many places. We would like you to discover huts, inns and wineries around Merano/Meran.
Activities & surroundings
Where can I go hiking or cycling in the neighbourhood?
Countless hiking trails start directly from the hotel – perfect for walkers, connoisseurs and mountain lovers. Our e-mountain bikes are available for you and can be reserved at reception. Use is at your own risk, the hire fee is € 20 per day.
Are there golf courses nearby?
Yes, several of them. As a guest of the Patrizia you receive a 20% green fee discount on all golf courses in South Tyrol. Our team will be happy to help you with your reservation.

What is the South Tyrol Guest Pass and how does it work?
The Südtirol Guest Pass is valid for the entire duration of your stay. It gives you free use of all public transport in the Südtirolmobil network (bus, train, cable car).
Are there packed lunches for excursions?
We are happy to prepare packed lunches for you for hikes, excursions or your journey home. Please simply place your order at reception.
Where can I get hiking maps?
Hiking maps are already in your room and are also available at reception.
Where can I clean or store my hiking boots?
In the shoe cupboard at the entrance to the underground car park you will find space to store your hiking boots. There is a washing trough in our garage to clean them after a tour.
Can I hike directly from the hotel?
Yes, hiking trails start right at the hotel – for example to the Hochmuth or via the Tappeinerweg. You can hike for several days from the hotel without using the car.
Are there e-bikes for hire?
Yes, e-mountain bikes from €25 per day.
Is there a fitness room or courses?
Yes, with Technogym equipment and exercise room for yoga & Pilates.

Wellness & Spa
What are the opening hours of the sauna?
Daily from 14:00 to 19:30, on rainy days from 11:00. Please note that this is a textile-free zone and that children under the age of 16 are not permitted to enter.
Where can I find bathrobes and bath towels?
They are waiting for you in your wellness bag in your room.
What wellness offers are there?
A heated 20 metre outdoor pool, indoor pool, two whirlpools (garden & roof terrace),
Finnish panorama sauna, bio and steam sauna, infrared cabin and many quiet places to relax.
Where can I find the beauty area and when is it open?
Our beauty centre is located on the way to the indoor pool and is easily accessible by lift. You can enjoy treatments between 09:00 and 19:00.
All treatments can be found in the SPA catalogue or directly at reception.
When can I use the pool?
Our indoor and outdoor pools are heated all year round and open daily from 07:00 to 19:30. Two whirlpools – one of which is on the roof terrace – also invite you to relax.
How does the pool service work?
Between 11:30 and 18:00, our team will serve you drinks and snacks directly by the pool – for little moments of pleasure in between. Simply order directly from your lounger.
Are the pools heated?
Yes, all year round – indoors and outdoors.
Do you offer massages or beauty treatments?
Yes, in our Beauty & Vitality Lounge with natural and Babor cosmetics.
Can external guests use the spa?
No. We are deliberately a retreat for house guests only – for peace and privacy.
